Darkness

Darkness in dreams represents the unknown, the unconscious mind, and fear of what you cannot see. Complete darkness suggests being 'in the dark' about something important. Fear of the dark reflects fear of the unconscious and its contents. However, darkness can also be a womb-like, protective state — a necessary emptiness before new creation. The response to darkness (fear vs. acceptance) is diagnostically important.

Driving

Driving represents your sense of control over life's direction and the choices you're making. The conditions of driving matter immensely: driving on a clear road suggests confidence, driving in fog indicates uncertainty, losing control of the vehicle reflects real-life loss of control. Driving someone else's car may indicate living someone else's life or using borrowed resources. Back-seat driving represents wanting control without responsibility.
