Island vs Yellow

Island

Islands represent isolation, self-sufficiency, and refuge from the overwhelming 'ocean' of emotions or life demands. A tropical island paradise suggests a desire for escape and rest. A deserted island reflects loneliness and self-reliance. An island you can't leave represents feeling trapped in isolation. Islands also represent the conscious self surrounded by the vast unconscious (the sea).

Yellow

Yellow represents mental clarity, optimism, joy, and caution. A bright yellow environment suggests intellectual stimulation and happiness. However, yellow can also indicate caution (yellow traffic lights) or cowardice. Faded or dirty yellow may suggest illness, decay, or betrayal. In many Eastern traditions, yellow is sacred — representing wisdom and the solar plexus chakra of personal power.
